Vladivostok Fortress Visitor Centre, 6, Ulitsa Petra Velikogo
The exhibition uncovers the legend of the Vladivostok Fortress, the most powerful and advanced naval fortress of its time. It played an important role in securing the eastern borders of first the Russian Empire and then the Soviet Union. The project gives a comprehensive idea of the construction scale and grandiosity of this unique monument of architectural and engineering thought, and of the people who created it.

A film about Nikolai Polissky from the series "The Artist Speaks". In this series of documentaries, contemporary artists who are shaping the image of Russian culture today discuss their work, their close relationships, and key life events. They also share their views on art, showcase their studios, and highlight significant places in Moscow and other cities around the world. These stories intersect in many ways, forming a portrait of the era and the history of the emergence of socialist art, Moscow conceptualism, and the circle of non-conformist artists. Nikolai Polissky's work is closely associated with the emergence of a new trend in Russian art known as Land Art. In the 2000s, after relocating to the village of Nikola-Lenivets, the artist explored the space around him, initially through photography and later by creating large-scale installations using readily available natural materials such as snow, hay, or wood. Over time, the artist's installations began to appear in cities across Russia, France, Luxembourg, Taiwan, and Japan. The Kaluga Region, where Nikola-Lenivets is situated, regularly hosts the Archstoyanie festival, an initiative spearheaded by Polissky. His recent work has seen the incorporation of more sculptural elements, including the creation of multi-figure groups and the restoration of his older works. This shift can be seen as a departure from classical Land Art, which, according to American artists of the 1960s, was expected to originate from nature and naturally return to it.
