Since 2015 the main events of the Eastern Economic Forum take place on the campus of Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU) on Russky Island (Vladivostok, Ajax Bay).

The FEFU campus on Russky Island was built in 2012 for the APEC Summit. Today, FEFU is the central platform for scientific and business communication among the Russian and international expert community in the Asia-Pacific region. The first Eastern Economic Forum was held at FEFU in September 2015.

Far Eastern Federal University is the largest higher educational institution in Russia’s Far East and one of the most dynamically developing research and educational centres in the Asia Pacific region. More than 23,000 students from 66 Russian regions study at Far Eastern Federal University, including 3,100 foreign students from 67 countries. FEFU offers more than 200 educational programmes. The Far Eastern Federal University campus is home to more than 10,300 people.

The journey time from the city centre to the Forum venue is approximately half an hour while the journey time from Vladivostok International Airport to the Forum venue is 60 minutes (depending on the traffic).
