Vladimir Putin invited BRICS businessmen to the Eastern Economic Forum
Russian President Vladimir Putin has invited BRICS businessmen to the Eastern Economic Forum, which this year will be held on 5–8 September in Vladivostok. The Head of State made this announcement at his welcoming speech at the BRICS Business Forum, which is currently taking place in China.

The ‘Arctic: Territory of Dialogue’ Stand Provided the Key SPIEF Discussion Platform for Pressing Problems of Arctic Development
The Russian Ministry for Development of the Far East stand ‘Arctic: Territory of Dialogue’ was first opened at the 25th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum and has become a platform for 16 Arctic agenda events, including a number constituting part of the official plan of Russia’s Chairmanship of the Arctic Council in 2021–2023 with the assistance of the Roscongress Foundation.

Foreign Journalists Witnessed Tiger Released into the Wild
As part of the preparation for the 2nd International Tiger Forum, the Roscongress Foundation and the Amur Tiger Centre organized a press tour to the Russian Far East for foreign journalists. The event aimed to report on the work of Russian tiger conservationists and to draw international attention to wildlife conservation and the upcoming Forum.

Experts from International Fund for Houbara Conservation Visit Kalmykia
A group of scientists from the International Fund for Houbara Conservation visited Russia’s Republic of Kalmykia to conduct a detailed study of the terrain and climate. The visit aimed to determine whether the territory of Kalmykia is suitable for the habitation of bustards and the construction of a breeding centre for them in the region. The bird is listed in the International Union for Conservation of Nature Red List of Threatened Species as well as the Red Data Books of Countries the Bustard Habitat.

The Eastern Economic Forum held an offsite session in Dubai on the theme ‘Development of Energy Infrastructure in Remote Areas Using Distributed Generation Technologies and Renewable Energy Sources: Investment Potential of the Far East and Arctic’ as part of the World Expo 2020. The event was organized by the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation jointly with the Small Energy Association and the Business Russia All-Russia Public Organization with the support of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic and the Roscongress Foundation.

Over 250,000 People Visit Far Eastern and Arctic Expositions at World Expo 2020
Dubai is currently hosting the World Expo 2020, which brings together delegations and visitors from more than 192 countries. The 7th Eastern Economic Forum will be held on 5–8 September 2022 at the Far Eastern Federal University campus in Vladivostok. The 2nd International Tiger Conservation Forum will take place on 5 September, the opening day of EEF 2022. The organizer of the Forum is the Roscongress Foundation.
