Moscow discussed promoting the potential of the Republic of Kalmykia for its development
A meeting between Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, and Batu Khasikov, Head of the Republic of Kalmykia, was held in Moscow to discuss the implementation of a number of key projects and programmes designed to create a long-term basis for the structural development of the economy of the Republic of Kalmykia and the Caspian region.

Russia and Bahrain Look to Intensify Cultural and Humanitarian Cooperation

Bahrain Joins Framework Declaration on Conservation of Gyrfalcons
The Kingdom of Bahrain has become the seventh country to join the Declaration of Intent for the Conservation of the Gyrfalcon Population. The document was adopted by Russia, China, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, and the UAE as part the Falcon Day International Forum, which was first held in Vladivostok during the 8th Eastern Economic Forum. The event was managed by the Roscongress Foundation.

The Dates of the 9th Eastern Economic Forum Have Been Decided
On 3–6 September 2024, the 9th Eastern Economic Forum will be held in Vladivostok on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University. The Forum has become an authoritative discussion platform for discussing the accelerated development of the Far East economy and the expansion of international cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region. The event is organized by the Roscongress Foundation.

Russia Approves New Climate Doctrine
Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree approving a new Climate Doctrine. The key goal of the document is to achieve carbon neutrality in Russia by 2060, which entails reducing emissions of carbon dioxide and its analogues in manufacturing activities to zero.

The Roscongress Foundation, Moscow State University and the Moscow Urban Forum publish an analytical report on the development of BRICS cities
An analytical report drawn up jointly for the Eastern Economic Forum 2023 by the Roscongress Foundation, Lomonosov Moscow State University and the Moscow Urban Forum details issues regarding the development of cities in BRICS countries. The study looked at ten cities, divided into two groups for comparison purposes: developed cities (Moscow, Delhi, Sao Paulo, Beijing, Johannesburg) and up-and-coming cities (Vladivostok, Kolkata, Salvador, Chongqing, Cape Town). The organizer of the EEF is the Roscongress Foundation.

Cultural heritage as a basis for competitiveness: the 7th Creative Business Forum at EEF
The 7th Creative Business Forum was held as part of EEF 2023, organized by the Innosocium Foundation, the social platform of the Roscongress Foundation. The Spirit of Fire Academy became a strategic partner of the event. The forum events were united by the motto ‘Cultural Codes of the Economy: Revealing Identity Through Cooperation’. Ten discussion sessions were held on developing competitiveness based on the culture and heritage of indigenous peoples of the North, rethinking urbanism through creativity, and the effective use of human capital in economic development.

United Petrochemical Company and China’s Xuan Yuan Industrial Development will finance the construction of the Soyuz cross-border transshipment complex
United Petrochemical Company and Xuan Yuan Industrial Development have entered into an agreement to co-finance the construction of the Soyuz cross-border transshipment complex in the Amuro-Khinganskaya Advanced Special Economic Zone in the Jewish Autonomous Region. The Roscongress Foundation has been supporting this project for five years.

Summary of the Eastern Economic Forum 2023
The 8th Eastern Economic Forum took place in Vladivostok on 10–13 September. The Forum featured over 100 sessions in the main business programme dedicated to the most pressing international and regional topics. More than 700 speakers and moderators participated. The largest delegations came from China, India, Myanmar, the Philippines, Laos, and Mongolia. The organizer of the EEF is the Roscongress Foundation.
