FESCO and the Pacific Meridian are to show films about the Russian Far East


FESCO Transportation group (the Group, FESCO, a company included in the perimeter of State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom (ROSATOM)) and the Pacific Meridians International Film Festival are organizing a series of film screenings within the Eastern Economic Forum. The program will include films that highlight the uniqueness of Russian Far East. The festival will take place from September 3 to 8 at the Commercial Port of Vladivostok pavilion (part of FESCO) on the Far East Street.

The film screenings will complement the cultural program of the EEF. It will tell the participants about what the Far East is. The program is scheduled of documentary and fiction films selected by the Pacific Meridians festival crew. For example, «Call of Kalni» will introduce viewers to the authentic culture of small peoples. And the «Marine» and the «Heart of Ussuri Taiga» will show exceptional flora and fauna of the Russian Far East. In addition, visitors will be shown films about port and logistics professions: dock worker, tallyman, sea captain and others.

An essential part of the film program are the works of the All-Russian Travel Contest «Far East – The Land of Adventure». It is held at the initiative of Yury Trutnev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation and Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District.

From September 3 to 6, the pavilion on the Far East Street will be available for participants and guests of the Eastern Economic Forum. And on September 7 to 8 there will be the days of free visit, film screenings will be available for everyone.

CMS-90 Music Festival. Concert of the students of the Central Music School-AII in the Branch


As the Central Music School – Academy of Performing Arts (CMS-APA) approaches its 90th anniversary in 2025, a music festival titled CMS-90 will be held in Vladivostok from 3 to 6 September 2024, as part of the Eastern Economic Forum's cultural programme.
The festival will feature performances by the Mariinsky Theatre's Primorsky Stage Symphony Orchestra, as well as by students and alumni of the Central Music School - Academy of Performing Arts, many of whom have already gained international recognition and won prestigious competitions. The soloists will include Ivan Bessonov (piano), Lev Bakirov (piano), Anna Katenina (clarinet), Daniil Bessonov (violin), among others.
The concerts will take place in the Concert Hall of the Primorsky branch of the Central Music School-APA on Russky Island, as well as in the Small Hall of the Primorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre in Vladivostok.
The festival programme also includes guided tours of the unique cultural, educational, and museum complex on Russky Island, which was inaugurated in May 2023, along with open master classes led by faculty deans and instructors from the Central Music School-APA (Moscow) for aspiring musicians and educators.
