Russian President
Vladimir Putin has invited BRICS businessmen to the Eastern Economic Forum,
which this year will be held on 5–8 September in Vladivostok. The Head of State
made this announcement at his welcoming speech at the BRICS Business Forum,
which is currently taking place in China.
"Taking the
opportunity, I am pleased to invite representatives of your states to the
Eastern Economic Forum, which will be held in Vladivostok in early September,
where many issues relevant to the BRICS business community will also be
discussed," Vladimir Putin said, in his greeting to the BRICS business
forum participants.
The traditional
BRICS Business Forum brought together government and business representatives,
experts and industry specialists from the BRICS countries.
The Eastern
Economic Forum is a key international platform for creating and strengthening
ties between the Russian and global investment community, as well as a
comprehensive expert assessment of the economic potential of the Russian Far
East. It is also used to present its investment opportunities and conditions
for doing business in the advanced special economic zones.
The 7th Eastern Economic Forum will be held in Vladivostok on the campus of Far Eastern Federal University (FEFU). The Forum is organized by the Roscongress Foundation.
