Vladimir Putin Sends Greetings to Eastern Economic Forum 2021 Participants and Guests

Russian President Vladimir Putin has sent greetings to the participants and guests of the 6th Eastern Economic Forum, which will be held on 2–4 September in Vladivostok.

In his greeting, Putin noted that since the inception of the Forum it has gained significant international prestige while promoting greater multilateral cooperation and strengthening partnerships between the business communities of Russia and other Asia-Pacific region countries.

Putin said that direct, informal communication among leading Russian and foreign entrepreneurs, politicians, experts, and representatives of the media and public organizations makes it possible to exchange experience, discuss the most pressing issues on the regional and international agenda, and map out useful joint projects and initiatives.

“The theme of the current Forum – ‘Opportunities for the Far East in a World under Transformation’ – envisages detailed discussions about the prospects for realizing the enormous and truly unique potential that the Far East has. Therefore, the EEF 2021 needs to outline the optimal forms and mechanisms of interaction that aim to improve the investment climate, develop transport, energy, industrial, and tourism infrastructure, and ensure a high level of environmental safety.

I am certain that special attention will be paid to the problems related to overcoming the economic and social consequences of the coronavirus pandemic,” Putin said in his greeting.
