Russian-Japanese Preventive Medicine and Diagnostics Centre to Open in Khabarovsk

The relevant agreement was signed during EEF 2017 by Russian Railways, the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare of Japan, and the Far East Investment and Export Agency, says a release from the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East.

The project involves reconstruction of one building of the Russian Railways Clinical Hospital in Khabarovsk, whereas the Centre’s medical staff will be trained by Japanese specialists. In addition, the Japanese party will provide continuous scientific, methodological and educational support.

The Centre will have diagnostic, preventive and rehabilitation units, as well as telemedicine facilities for remote consultations with Japanese specialists.

The total investment in the project is expected to reach around RUB 500m, most provided by Japanese investors.
