Invest India opens Russian department

A new department set up by the National Investment Promotion Agency of India will provide comprehensive support to Russian companies, including business consultations, strategic guidance, and resolving regulatory issues, the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East said in a press release.

The Far East Investment and Export Agency and Invest India are expected to share experience in attracting mutual investments.

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi agreed to establish the Russian department of Invest India in the summer of 2017. The new department was presented at the third Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok on 7 September.
