Roscongress to Further Develop Communication with Russian and International Organizations

On 11 September 2018 at the Eastern Economic Forum, the Roscongress Foundation agreed to cooperate with a number of Russian and international companies and associations. Appropriate accords were signed with the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), China National Cuture&Art Co., Ltd (CNCAC), the China National Arts & Crafts (Group) Corporation, the Russian Academy of Sciences, and Women’s View Public Diplomacy Foundation. 

“The Roscongress Foundation organizes large-scale international events both in Russia and overseas, therefore developing communication with foreign and Russian companies, non-profit organizations and authorities is a focus area for us,” emphasized Alexander Stuglev, Chairman of the Board and CEO of the Roscongress Foundation.     

Kim Jundong, Executive Vice Chairman of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry stated: “I would like to express my compliments upon signing the Memorandum of Understanding between the Roscongress Foundation and the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry that took place a year after the New Northern Policy was announced [by Moon Jae-in, President of the Republic of Korea]”.   

He added that “as the leading economic organization, the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry will continue to consistently support bilateral exchanges and international promotion of both countries’ businesses by the agency of the Roscongress Foundation”.   

During the ceremony, Veronika Peshkova, President of the Women’s View Public Diplomacy Foundation, noted that female leadership and entrepreneurship projects was a promising area of international cooperation both in bilateral and multilateral relations.

“Today developing gender equality and women’s economic empowerment is on the agenda of the leading international organizations and associations, like the UN, APEC, BRICS, and others. Building government-business dialogue and supporting public diplomacy initiatives doesn’t just benefit specific businesses, but the society as a whole,” believes Ms. Peshkova.

Together with the Association of Lawyers of Russia (all-Russian non-governmental organization), the Roscongress Foundation signed trilateral cooperation agreements with Primorye Territory and Chukotka Autonomous Area. This document aims to promote investment and export potential of Russia’s regions and support regional brands. The parties agreed to cooperate in organizing a series of SPIEF regional sessions called ‘Russia’s Regions: New Areas of Growth’ in federal districts. These sessions started 2015 and became an efficient tool to support Russia’s promising regional products both domestically and overseas.   

To recap, earlier, during the Russian Investment Forum and the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, the Roscongress Foundation signed agreements with the following Russian regions:  Astrakhan, Arkhangelsk, Bryansk, Vladimir, the Jewish (Autonomous), Irkutsk, Kaluga, Kaliningrad, Kemerovo, Kirov, Leningrad, Magadan, Murmansk, Novgorod, Omsk, Penza, Pskov, Rostov,    Ryazan, Samara, Saratov, Sverdlovsk, Tver, Tomsk, Tula, Ulyanovsk, and Chelyabinsk Regions; the Republics of Adygea, Altay, Bashkortostan, Buryatia, Ingushetia, Kabardino-Balkaria, Kalmykia, Karachay-Cherkessia, Karelia, Crimea, and Khakassia; Kamchatka and Perm Territories, as well as the city of Sevastopol.   

Tomorrow, 12 September, at 11:40, the Roscongress Foundation is scheduled to sign a cooperation agreement with the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (A3, signing ceremony hall 1).
