The Kamchatka Exhibition and Tourist
Centre will host an offsite session of the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) titled
‘Prospects for Year-Round Navigation via the Northern Sea Route’ from 09:00 to
12:40 Moscow time on Thursday, 21 July 2022. The session is being
organized by the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and the
Arctic, the Far East and Arctic Development Corporation (FEADC), Rosatom State
Corporation, the Kamchatka Territory, and the Roscongress Foundation.
The rapid growth of markets in the
Asia-Pacific region, in addition to the current geopolitical situation, attest
to the need to intensify work in the eastern sector of the Northern Sea Route
(NSR), as well as balance out the load throughout the year. One of the
session’s objectives will be to harmonize the work of public and private
entities in order to accelerate the full-scale launch of the transport
corridor. The participants will consider ways to intensify cargo traffic along
the NSR, as well as to evenly distribute the load throughout the transport
corridor. The event aims to lay the foundation for decisions that will be taken
at Eastern Economic Forum.
The Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and the Arctic,
along with the FEADC, which is subordinate to the ministry, will hold a
presentation about the infrastructure of the eastern sector of the NSR, new
transport and logistics solutions, as well as steps to develop year-round
navigation along the NSR.

Bahrain Joins Framework Declaration on Conservation of Gyrfalcons
The Kingdom of Bahrain has become the seventh country to join the Declaration of Intent for the Conservation of the Gyrfalcon Population. The document was adopted by Russia, China, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, and the UAE as part the Falcon Day International Forum, which was first held in Vladivostok during the 8th Eastern Economic Forum. The event was managed by the Roscongress Foundation.

2nd Falcon Day International Forum Dates Announced
The Organizing Committee of the 2nd Falcon Day International Forum met in Moscow under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Viktoria Abramchenko. The meeting was attended by representatives of the federal executive authorities and regional heads of the Russian Federation.

Concerts by the Russian National Youth Symphony Orchestra and virtuoso pianist, People’s Artist of Russia Denis Matsuev will be held at the Vladivostok Seasons Culture Festival as part of the Eastern Economic Forum 2024. The Eastern Economic Forum 2024 is organized by the Roscongress Foundation.
