Premium automotive brand from China
HONGQI (‘Red Banner’) took part in the Eastern Economic Forum 2024 as the
official automotive partner of the event. EEF 2024 was held from 3 to 6
September in Vladivostok. The venue was traditionally the campus of the Far
Eastern Federal University (FEFU) on Russky Island. HONGQI met the transport
and logistics needs of the Forum by providing vehicles for the official fleet
of the event. They were used to transfer speakers, partners and guests of the
EEF. H9 flagship executive sedans, HQ9 business class minivans and H5 business
class sedans were put at the disposal of the organizers. HONGQI cars
transported more than 2,500 guests, including official delegations from China,
Malaysia, Bulgaria, Vietnam, Myanmar and many other countries during the Forum
days.
HONGQI presence at the Forum also
included brand stands on the open territory and indoors. On the opening day of
the Forum, it was announced that it would host Russia’s first pre-premiere
demonstration of the newest model of the luxury line of HONGQI brand – luxury
executive sedan HONGQI L1. The world premiere of this model (in the domestic
market of China it is presented under the name Guoya) became one of the
highlights of the Beijing International Motor Show 2024. Powerful, all-wheel
drive executive sedan with a majestic design combining traditional Chinese
national aesthetics and the most advanced technologies attracted considerable
attention of the EEF guests. HONGQI H9 was also demonstrated during the ‘Russia
to the World’ concert, which was part of the cultural programme for residents
and guests of the city and Forum participants.
Ivan Savelyev, Executive Director of
HONGQI RUS, said: “Supporting major business and political events has been and
remains a prerequisite for the development and business of a premium automotive
brand. We believe that HONGQI products addressed to the most successful and
wealthy audience will be in demand in business and political circles. That is
why we demonstrated the latest model of the HONGQI brand’s luxury line-up, the
L1 executive sedan, at the EEF 2024 long before its official Russian premiere,
which is scheduled for the first half of 2025. But before this premiere,
Russian customers are waiting for other novelties from our brand. The nearest
one is the official start of sales of the updated mid-size premium crossover
HONGQI HS5 New, which will take place already this autumn. Yes, this model can
already be seen in Russia, but so far it came in limited quantities. Now we are
talking about full-fledged, official release of HS5 New on the Russian market,
and all necessary stocks of spare parts and consumables for this model are
already formed.”
EEF 2024 became a symbol of another
significant achievement for HONGQI brand. This was the first experience of such
a large-scale cooperation with Avtomir. Both companies signed the dealer
agreement in the second half of summer. Avtomir will represent the brand in
Vladivostok and Khabarovsk, which means that the HONGQI dealer network now
covers the whole continental territory of Russia.
