The Innosocium Foundation, together with the Presidential Grants Fund, held a Non-Profit Organization Lab at the Eastern Economic Forum

On 4 September, the Innosocium Foundation and the Presidential Grants Foundation held an NPO organization Lab during the Eastern Economic Forum. More than 50 non-profits, whose projects help solve significant problems in the social sphere, healthcare, ecology, and culture, were invited to participate in the joint project.

NPO representatives took part in a foresight session, discussions, and masterclasses hosted at the stand of Innosocium Lab my. As part of the joint programme of the Innosocium Foundation and the Presidential Grants Fund to create an ecosystem of interaction between representatives of the state, business, and NPOs, participants of the events discussed opportunities and areas of mutually beneficial cooperation, ways to attract resources to their projects, approaches to overcoming the consequences of the pandemic in NPO work, and also studied best practices of successful project implementation in the Far East.

"We spent a full day with our partners from non-profit organizations to support their projects, increase efficiency and facilitate the implementation of cultural, environmental, economic and educational initiatives, which act as an important part of a comprehensive approach to addressing socially important tasks in contemporary Russia," said Elena Marinina, Deputy CEO of the Roscongress Foundation and Director of the Innosocium Foundation.

The key event of the programme was the strategic session "The Far East: Growth Points. The NPO Viewpoint", organized on the basis of the foresight model. The work of the platform started with networking, which allowed participants to establish interaction and exchange ideas between people who have common interests, areas of activity, or other points of contact. Veronika Sipacheva, Head of the Energy of Participation Foundation for Social Development of Primorsky Region, acted as a facilitator of the networking session.

During the 8-hour session, participants worked in thematic groups, where they developed a vision for a long-term mutually beneficial partnership of non-profit organizations with the authorities, business, media, and cultural figures. In professional and subject areas, the groups were guided by invited experts: Olga Ivchenko, Deputy Director of the Department of Internal Policy of Primorsky Region; Viktor Shalay, Director of the V. K. Arseniev Museum of Far East History; Tatiana Klanovets, Director of the Komsomolskaya Pravda Primorye Publishing House; Vladimir Oshchenko, Senior Editor of Primorye Public Television; Alexander Syrtsev, Deputy General Director and Chief Editor of Primorye Advertising and Information Agency.

Facilitators of the event were Anton Dolgov, Executive Director of the Presidential Grants Foundation, and Roman Karmanov, General Director of the Presidential Cultural Initiatives Foundation. They were moderated by leaders of Far Eastern NPOs Veronika Sipacheva, President of Energy of Participation, a non-profit foundation for support of social development in Primorsky Territory; Ekaterina Kazorina, project manager of Energy of Participation, a Khabarovsk regional NPO; and a member of the Molodist youth organization.

The foresight was moderated by Anton Dolgov, Executive Director of the Presidential Grants Foundation, and Roman Karmanov, General Director of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives. Moderation of the groups was helped by Far Eastern NPO leaders Veronika Sipacheva, President of Energy of Participation, a non-profit foundation for supporting social development in Primorsky Region, and Ekaterina Kasorina, project manager of Energy of Participation, a non-profit foundation for supporting social development in Primorsky Region, Alexandra Dubovskaya, member of the Youth Vector Khabarovsk Region NPO; Oksana Volodina, President of the Nika charitable foundation; Yulia Meshkova, Director of the Vladivostok Design, an NPO for initiatives and assistance in promoting and popularising design and cultural development; Tatiana Zarechneva, Director for development of Far Eastern cuisine, Pacific Tourism Union; Svetlana Bazhenova, Director General of the Development NPO for additional professional education and consultancy.

During 8 hours of intensive joint work on the image of the future, the participants not only didn't lose, but even increased their optimism, worked closely together, and were able to agree on many things. The people of the Far East are really determined to change their environment and make their macro-region a place of attraction. The foresight platform has played a significant role in this result. Thanks to the cooperation of the Presidential Grants Foundation and the Innosocium Foundation, the NPO Lab has become a platform where leaders of socially oriented non-profit organizations could get to know each other better, demonstrate their experience, receive feedback from experts and, together with professionals from the cultural, media and business sectors, form a shared vision of effective partnership', said Anton Dolgov, Executive Director of the Presidential Grants Foundation, describing the results of the strategic session.
