The Roscongress Foundation has published the 5th
Eastern Economic Forum magazine. It includes an interview with the Minister for
the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic Alexander Kozlov and other
content related to the event agenda, with the focus on the implementation of
national projects in the Far Eastern Federal District and its integration into
the economy of the Asia-Pacific region. Readers can learn all about landmark
transport and social infrastructure projects, and plans for the development of
innovation and tourism clusters.
“The Forum magazine provides its readers an excellent
opportunity to immerse themselves in the event agenda in advance and learn more
about the Russian Far East, its traditions, and culture and tourist
attractions,” said Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to
the Russian President and Executive Secretary of the Eastern Economic Forum
Organizing Committee.
The magazine is published in Russian and English and
is available in the Forum venues, the official Forum cars, and on Aeroflot’s
Moscow–Vladivostok–Moscow route. The online version is available on the
forumvostok.ru website (Magazine section) and the ROSCONGRESS.ORG Information and Analytical
System.
The Business section introduces the reader to the
Business Priority project, which has been successful in helping high-tech
startups find investors, and the Russian Falcon Centre, which will open in
Kamchatka with the support of the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources and
Environment and the Government of the UAE. The Roscongress Foundation is
involved in both projects.
Social issues and medicine are covered in depth by the
magazine in articles prepared jointly with scientists from the Innosocium LAB
and the ‘Healthy Life’ Area. Given the vast distances of the Far East, a completely
different approach to diagnosis and treatment is required. Veronika Skvortsova,
Minister of Health of the Russian Federation, talks about the growing role of
innovative technologies in medicine.
India and Japan are important economic partners for Russia
in the Asia-Pacific region and special guests of the EEF. The Forum will be
attended by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Japanese Prime Minister
Shinzō Abe. Readers of the magazine will be able to take a fascinating journey
to the Land of the Rising Sun and size up the prospects for business
cooperation between Russia and India.
The entertainment section of the magazine includes an
article about the history of the Chinese Eastern Railway, the successors of the
famous traveler Nicholas Miklouho-Maclay, and the Far Eastern delicacies of red
caviar and local medicinal herbs. The important cultural events of the Forum
are preceded by an interview with Grigory Leps (the singer will speak at the
Gala Reception on behalf of the Forum Organizing Committee), and a story about
Sandro Botticelli’s famous work of art Madonna and Child from the Uffizi
Gallery collection, which will be showcased at EEF with the support of
Sberbank.
The magazine also contains useful information for
Forum participants: business, cultural and sports events, a guide to the Forum
venue, important contact information and addresses.
