Vladimir Putin Signed the Law on Extending Vladivostok Free Port Regime

The Free Port regime is now effective in 22 municipal districts of the Far East, RIA Novosti reports.

The new document stipulates for the expansion of the Vladivostok Free Port (FPV) regime to the Sovetsko-Gavansky District of the Khabarovsk Territory.

Experts are certain that this will lead to the implementation of 15 investment projects worth 54.5 billion roubles in the Sovetskaya Gavan. Over 4.3 billion roubles in tax revenues and fees to budgets of different levels are expected to come in the period of eight years. Establishment of new enterprises will create over 1,800 jobs.

In 2015, the FPV regime was introduced in 16 municipalities of Primorye Territory. Later, special terms of customs, taxation and investment regulation were extended to the Khabarovsk Territory (Vaninsky Municipal District), the Sakhalin Oblast (Korsakovsky and Uglegorsky City Districts), the Kamchatka Krai (Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky) and the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug (Pevek).
