2nd Tiger International Forum Programme Put Together

The appropriate announcement was made by Konstantin Chuichenko, Minister of Justice of the Russian Federation and Chairman of the Organizing Committee for the preparation and holding of the 2nd International Tiger Forum.
According to him the business programme will include 5 sessions.
Among them, national reports on Global tiger population restoration initiatives for the past 12 years will be presented. 
 Representatives of tiger range states will share best practices in using innovative mechanisms for implementing measures to protect tigers and their habitats, resolving conflicts, and restoring declining tiger populations.
The Forum participants will discuss how to turn environmental education of the populationinto a system and how to develop volunteer programmes to support tiger conservation.
In addition, the results of activities battling illegal trade with tiger derivatives, illicit trade channels, and poaching will be presented.
Konstantin Chuichenko said that at the moment a preliminary agreement has been reached to hold an additional session on the implementation of the Far Eastern leopard conservation programme.
It is planned that the session will be held jointly with Sergey Ivanov, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation on Environmental Protection, Ecology and Transport, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the ANO Far Eastern Leopards.
“I would like to note that the measures recorded in our current Strategy for the conservation of the Amur tiger have proven to be very effective. These mechanisms will be transferred to a new version of the Strategy, it is being developed now and will be adopted by the end of the year,” Konstantin Chuichenko added.
The 2nd International Tiger Forum will take place on 5 September 2022 in Vladivostok. 
 
The main goal of the Forum is to attract the attention of the international community to the problem of tiger conservation. It aims to look for ideas and solutions to the financial and technical issues related to this problem.
