National Development Programme for Far East to be presented to Vladimir Putin at EEF 2019

The National Development Programme for the Far East is set to be presented to Vladimir Putin at the Eastern Economic Forum this coming September in Vladivostok. The news was announced to journalists on 30 January by Deputy Prime Minister and Presidential Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yury Trutnev.

The President had ordered the development of the National Development Programme for the Far East, covering the period to 2025, during his speech at the closing session of EEF 2018. The programme is tasked with bringing together initiatives from national projects and government programmes which have already been adopted, long-term industry-specific plans from various bodies and infrastructure companies, and development strategies for every region in the Russian Far East, with consideration given to its growing role in the Russian economy.
