Mikhail Mishustin Approved Far East Funding Bill

Funding will go to the Zabaikalye, Kamchatka and Primorye Territories to implement projects improving the quality of life in those regions. The amount will be allocated from the Cabinet of Ministers fund. More than more than RUB 500 million will be used for construction and development of infrastructure in the Far East. Prime Minister of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin signed the bill on the direction of funds, noting that it is important to support the social development of the regions.

In Primorye Territory roads will be repaired, in particular, the highway on Russky Island from the turn to Voroshilovskaya Battery toward the settlement of Ekipazhny and the approach to Vladivostok from the highway linking the Far Eastern capital with Khabarovsk.

In Zabaikalye Territory a multifunctional sports and recreation complex will be built in the village of Ukurik, Khiloksky district. Another portion of the funds will be used to repair the power supply, local sewage treatment facilities, and sewage system.

In Kamchatka Territory motor roads in Yelizovsky municipal district will be repaired and built. Thus, it will be even easier to get to the selected land plots under the Far Eastern Hectar programme.

“A comprehensive development of territories and infrastructure in the Far East will be the most important topics of the 7th Eastern Economic Forum business programme,” said Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation and Executive Secretary of the Eastern Economic Forum Organizing Committee.
