Presidents of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Korea Emphasized the Importance of EEF for Relations between Countries

On 22 June 2018, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin held talks with the President of the Republic of Korea Moon Jae-in, who was in Russia on a state visit.

During the talks, the heads of the two states highly appreciated the Eastern Economic Forum to be held in Vladivostok, as the platform for efficient international cooperation in order to develop the economy of the Far East regions, and an important tool for deepening the bilateral cooperation, the official website of the President of the Russian Federation reports. Vladimir Putin and Moon Jae-in also agreed to make joint efforts to ensure the successful operation of the Forum.

Earlier on June 22, Moon Jae-in addressed the participants of the Russia–Korea Business Forum, which takes place in Moscow as part of the South Korean president’s visit.
