A Japanese investor to build two timber processing factories in Primorsky Krai

A meeting of the Russian delegation with representatives of the Japanese company Iida Group Holdings took place on Monday, December 18, under the chairmanship of Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation – Plenipotentiary Envoy of the President of Russia in the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev as part of the Japanese Investor Day in Vladivostok. Acting Primorsky Krai Governor Andrei Tarasenko took part in the meeting. The investors intend to build two factories for advanced timber processing and saw timber production, and to launch full-fledged manufacturing of low-rise and high-rise houses. 

Iida Group Holdings CEO Yoichi Nishikawa said that his company was planning to build two factories for deep timber processing and saw timber production at the settlement of Slavyanka. Some of the output will be exported and some of it will be used to make prefabricated home kits.
