Vladivostok is a major transport hub in the Russian Far East. The city’s main transport facilities include Vladivostok International Airport (VVO), a maritime terminal, and a railway station.

Increased traffic is expected at all transport hubs during the EEF 2023. You are advised to make travel plans in advance. More information about possible ways to get to Vladivostok can be found below.

Visa support

If you need a visa to enter the Russian Federation, you can:

1) obtain a visa through an invitation for foreign arrivals (for all EEF 2023 participants).

An invitation for foreign visitors is a separate document from a Forum invitation. The document could be generated in the Roscongress personal account (follow the tabs My events – EEF 2023 – Event dashboard – Visa support).

2) obtain an electronic visa (available for citizens of 55 foreign countries).

COVID-19 PREVENTION MEASURES

It is not required to present the results of a PCR test for entry into the Russian Federation or to quarantine after arrival in Vladivostok.

However, selective testing of citizens is conducted at checkpoints, depending on the epidemiological situation in their country.

Vladivostok International Airport is located at the crossroads of the air routes connecting the Russian Far East with the Asia-Pacific region. Information about flights and booking tickets can be found on the airport’s website.

The travel time from Vladivostok International Airport to FEFU is approximately 60 minutes, depending on traffic.

Transit route

Transit via foreign airports

Should you be unable to travel directly between your point of departure and an airport in Russia, we advise flying via a country offering flights to Russia.

At present, flights are available through transit points in Armenia, Egypt, India, China, Kazakhstan, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, and Uzbekistan.

Transit via another Russian airports

From abroad, you can reach Vladivostok with a connection in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, or Krasnoyarsk.

Domestic direct flights to Vladivostok fly from Blagoveshchensk, Krasnoyarsk, Moscow, Novosibirsk, St. Petersburg, Sochi and other Russian cities.

We recommend that you select the appropriate departure and arrival points, then check the website or the airport information service to see which air carriers operate regular and/or non-scheduled flights via the desired route. By train

Vladivostok is the terminal station of the world’s longest railway, the Trans-Siberian Railway. This railway runs from Vladivostok to Moscow, passing through regional centres across Russia.

The Ocean train runs daily from Khabarovsk to Vladivostok. The journey takes between 11 hours and 13 hours 30 minutes, depending on the departure time.

Arrival and parking of vessels at Vladivostok bays

You can travel to Vladivostok by private yacht.

Please note: From 00:01 on 8 September 2023 to 00:01 on 13 September 2023, access to Ajax and Paris Bays (bounded on the north-east by the line from Cape Novosilskiy to Cape Zhitkova) and Novik Bay (bounded on the north-west by the line from Cape Doronin to Cape Shigin) shall only be granted following a request agreed upon with the Organizing Committee.

Participants can apply for a permit until 4 September 2023 via the Roscongress personal account. Please go to the ‘My events’ section of the Roscongress personal account and select EEF 2023. Next, go to the ‘Event dashboard’ section and submit a request form in the ‘Access of vessels to the bays’ section.
