State Council Presidium Meeting on Far East Development to Take Place during EEF 2018

The first working group meeting on preparing for a State Council Presidium session on measures to implement the strategic tasks set by the President’s Executive Order of May 7, 2018 on the accelerated socio-economic development of the Far East took place on 20 June under the chairmanship of Presidential Aide and State Council Secretary Igor Levitin. The official website of the President of the Russian Federation states that the State Council Presidium meeting will be held during the Eastern Economic Forum, which will take place in Vladivostok on 11–13 September 2018.

The conference was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Plenipotentiary Presidential Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yury Trutnev and representatives from all branches of government as well as the business and expert communities. The working group was headed by Acting Governor of Magadan Region Sergei Nosov, who outlined the goals in drafting the report.

Participants in the State Council meeting will discuss the implementation of 12 national projects set forth by the President’s Executive Order for the Far East.
