Eastern Economic Forum 2018 Presents Great Tour Theatre Project

The 4th Eastern Economic Forum, which takes place on 11–13 September in Vladivostok, will present the Great Tour theatre project. The largest theatre programme, implemented by the Federal Theatre Tour Centre of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, will be presented in two sections of the Forum Business Programme: The Russian Far East: Creating a New Quality of Life and We Are Neighbours: Earning Through Cooperation.

The Great Tour project was conceived in 2014 upon the initiative of Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation. It is a large-scale tour of the country’s leading drama and music theatres, with all stage sets, costumes and full cast, including national theatre stars. All 85 regions of Russia and more than 250 leading theatres participate in the project. About two thousand performances were staged since the launch of the project.

“The federal Great Tour project aims to establish a common cultural space in Russia. The presentation of the project at the Eastern Economic Forum is intended to grow the audience, improve the quality of performances in regions and to facilitate the creative exchange among state theatres of the Far Eastern Federal District,” emphasized Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation.

The presentation at the EEF 2018 will tell about the most successful and promising guest performances, the procedure for participating in the programme and obtaining financial support for the tours of the Far Eastern theatres, as well as the options of partnering with the Great Tour project.
