SKI RESORT, GREENHOUSE CENTRE AND POLYETHYLENE PLANT TO APPEAR IN KAMCHATKA

During the visit by the Far East Development Corporation to the Kamchatka Region, agreements with five companies were signed; all of them plan to conduct business in ASEZ Kamchatka.

Contracts were signed with such investors as OOO Tuluach, OOO Zelenaya Ferma (Green Farm), OOO DalStroyTorg, OOO PSK LSTK Kamchatka. Overall, almost RUB 3 bn is to be invested in the regional economy under the signed documents and nearly 300 new jobs will be created.

Tuluach intends to develop an eponymous recreation centre in Termalny, Kamchatka. It will consist of a resort, guesthouses, recreation and entertainment centre and a ski resort. In future, this project will have a positive effect on the budget: tax revenues into different budgets after deduction of tax breaks will amount to RUB 516,384 m over 15 years.

OOO Zelenaya Ferma plans to build a greenhouse centre, which will produce more than 3,000 tonnes of cucumbers, 665 tonnes of tomatoes and 447 tonnes of lettuce a day.

Another new resident of ASEZ Kamchatka, OOO PSK LSTK Kamchatka, will take care of housing. According to the signed agreement, it will create and develop in the Region a house building plant of prefabricated structures using innovative metal frame construction technologies. Its estimated output is up to 70,000 sq m of residential and non-residential premises.

As part of the import substitution programme, DalStroyTorg will build Kamchatka’s first polyethylene product plant.

The tourist sector will also be developing owing to a project for a modern boat anchorage in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, together with all the essential infrastructure in place: marinas, repair yard, slipway, administration and household centre, car park, mooring berths, etc.
