The Agency for Strategic Initiatives to Present Personnel Training Programmes for the Regions of the Far East at EEF 2018

The proposed programmes are expected to contribute to solving the demographic problem in the region, TASS reports.

According to Svetlana Chupsheva, General Director of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI), EEF 2018 will host a number of theme sessions on the professional training in the Far East.

“Here we will look not only at the current professionals, but also at the Human Capital as the keystone of the future economy in the Russian Far East. This means working with young people and school students, linking the education system, direct interaction with employers and investors who set the competencies requirements. Together with colleagues we will discuss what needs to be done to attract young people to the Far East in terms of job opportunities. A lot has already been done: Far East Human Capital Development Agency and the Far Eastern Hectare project have been launched, but so far the relocation dynamic is negative. We need to create the conditions for comfortable living and challenging jobs with professional growth,” said Svetlana Chupsheva.

In addition, at the Forum ASI will hold sessions on the investment climate, cooperation with business and the role of state authorities in shaping the investment climate in the regions.

The 4th Eastern Economic Forum will take place in Vladivostok on 11–13 September.
