The number of requests for a hectare of land in Russian Far East has exceeded 200, according to a press release by the Ministry for the Development of Russian Far East.
Residents of the Amur Region were the first to get land: three hectares were allocated for them for apiarian business in the Arkharinsky District. “The possessors of first ‘hectares’ are our local residents who have been engaged in bee farming for many years. They eyed land plots in this district suitable for beekeeping long ago. The “Far East Hectare” law enables them to formalise land ownership with a minimum of administrative procedures. The federal information system almost fully automates this process”, stated Minister of Property Relations in the Amur Region Sergei Khovrat.
The procedure for land legalisation was highlighted by Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of Russian Far East Sergei Kachaev: “The given applications were expeditiously reviewed by the municipality. Gratuitous land use agreements were signed with the applicants, along with attendant documents. The cadastral chamber quickly conducted a cadastral inventory of these lands. Now the agreements have been forwarded to the Property Registration Committee. Very soon, the documents will be registered on the Rosreestr.”
Mr. Kachaev also reviewed the results of the first day of the “Far East Hectare” law at work: “High activity can be observed in the regions. Some applications are being submitted on paper. During one day, more than 200 applications have been received, 172 of them registered via the federal information system. The applications submitted on paper are entered into the federal information system. I believe this inflow will swell even further.” The official site where the application for land can be formalised (надальнийвосток.рф) was visited by more than 100,000 people on the first day.
We should recall that, on 1 June, the handout of one hectare of land for residents of nine municipal entities of Russian Far East got under way. From 1 October 2016, all residents of Russian Far East will be able to get their “hectare” and, starting 1 February 2017, this privilege will be granted to all citizens of Russia.
