On 2 September, Vladivostok will host the opening ceremony for an innovative musical fountain. The fountain will be launched by Sberbank and Vladivostok Administration. The ceremony is part of the cultural programme of the 6th Eastern Economic Forum.
The ‘smart fountain’ will become the centrepiece of the new complex in Ploshchad Bortsov Revolyutsii. It can be used as a multiformat educational platform. The fountain is equipped with a laser machine and software, which will help project images on the water and create high-level light and musical shows.
“Throughout its history, Vladivostok’s main square has looked differently and has been used differently. This year, thanks to Sberbank we have started creating a comfortable urban space. I am confident that the fountain will become a point of attraction both for local residents and visitors. In our turn, we will keep working on the project of improving the city’s main square,” emphasized Mayor of Vladivostok Konstantin Shestakov.
The ceremony will start at 19:30 with a concert. The fountain will be opened and launched at 20:30. The light and musical show is scheduled for 20:45.
Such fountains already exist in many other Russian cities, such as Peterhof, Kaliningrad, Yaroslavl, Voronezh, Izhevsk, Novosibirsk, Perm, Kursk, etc. The fountain is expected to become both a multifunctional and suiting element of the urban environment and a new point of attraction for local residents and visitors.

Bahrain Joins Framework Declaration on Conservation of Gyrfalcons
The Kingdom of Bahrain has become the seventh country to join the Declaration of Intent for the Conservation of the Gyrfalcon Population. The document was adopted by Russia, China, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, and the UAE as part the Falcon Day International Forum, which was first held in Vladivostok during the 8th Eastern Economic Forum. The event was managed by the Roscongress Foundation.

2nd Falcon Day International Forum Dates Announced
The Organizing Committee of the 2nd Falcon Day International Forum met in Moscow under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Viktoria Abramchenko. The meeting was attended by representatives of the federal executive authorities and regional heads of the Russian Federation.
