Trans Container and South Korea’s Pantos Logistics Join Forces to Boost Transit through Russia

TransContainer PJSC and South Korea’s Pantos Logistics signed a memorandum of cooperation on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum concerning intermodal container transportation. In doing so, the two companies laid the foundation for the implementation of key logistics projects that are designed to develop the transit potential of the Russian Federation.

“This partnership with the largest logistics company in South Korea is an important step in the development of economic relations between our countries and the implementation of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s decree on increasing transit through the territory of our country”, TransContainer CEO Vyacheslav Sarayev said following the signing of the agreement.

One of the top priorities of cooperation between the Russian and Korean companies is to develop and optimize transport and logistics products for the automotive industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Joint projects to create a competitive transit corridor between South Korea, Japan, and EU countries through Russian Far Eastern ports are another key focus of the agreement.

Cooperation between TransContainer and Pantos Logistics will not only enhance the transit potential of the Russian Federation, but will also serve as an additional incentive for the development of the Primorye region in terms of increasing jobs both in the transport segment and in all related services.
