Street of the Far East Exhibition will Be Held in Vladivostok on 11–16 September

The Street of the Far East exhibition will be open on 11–16 September as a part of the 4th Eastern Economic Forum.

The subjects of the Far Eastern Federal District, federal executive authorities, namely the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of Russia, the Ministry of Sport of Russia, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, and the Ministry of Culture of Russia will take part in the exhibition, along with a special guest – the Kemerovo Oblast.

The exhibition is a complex project designed to demonstrate to the participants and guests of the Forum the peculiarities of the regions of the Far East, their economic potential, cultural traditions and tourist opportunities, to contribute to strengthening economic and humanitarian ties, increasing exports, and attracting tourist traffic.

The events of the exhibition will take place on the Russky Island – in the territory of the Ajax Bay waterfront (landscape area of the FEFU).

The solemn opening ceremony of the exhibition and a festive concert will be held during Eastern Economic Forum.

At the open air exhibition the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, together with the holding company Russian Helicopters, will present the project of the future multipurpose helicopter Ka-62.

A youth track, which will include an informational and educational programme, is planned to take place, along with sports events with the participation of the Ministry of Sport of Russia, including the International Go Tournament, the International Mas-wrestling Tournament CC Colmar Cup, and passing of the Ready for Labour and Defence fitness tests.

A fish market will operate as a part of the Street of the Far East, under the supervision of Rosrybolovstvo (The Federal Agency of Fishery). The products of the leading fish farms, fishing and fish processing companies from the Far Eastern Federal District regions will be presented there. Guests and participants of the Forum will be able to take part in master classes on cooking crabs and scallops.

At the site of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of Russia guests will be able to take a look at the projects of restoration of Amur tiger and Far Eastern leopard populations and development of ecological tourism in specially protected natural areas.

Nature reserves and national parks will present mini-stands where visitors will be able to book tours and learn about opportunities for visitors and investors. Visitors to the Ecopark will have an opportunity to walk along the ecological path – the route resembling the outlines of the Far Eastern Federal District, and to learn about the special natural features in each region.

The daily concert programmes of the subjects of the Far Eastern Federal District will be organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Russia, as well as screenings of Russian and foreign box-office films in an open air cinema. There will be a special pavilion for watching films in the 360 format using virtual reality glasses, where visitors will be able to visit the most beautiful and inaccessible places in nature reserves and national parks in the Far Eastern Federal District.

The exhibition will be open to the participants and guests of EEF from 11 to 13 September. On 14–16 September the access to the Street of the Far East will be open to the general public. More than 50,000 people visited the last year’s exhibition.
