In anticipation of the 5th Eastern Economic Forum on 4–6
September in Vladivostok, ROSCONGRESS.ORG Information and Analytical System
experts have prepared a digest of analytical materials covering major
comprehensive research related to the Forum agenda.
These analytical materials cover a wide range of topics, from a review
of the Far Eastern tourism market to the opinions of leading Russian and
Chinese experts on the development of Russian-Chinese cooperation, fostering
the potential of Far Eastern region, an analysis of state plans to increase
spending on infrastructure, and prospects for foreign direct investment. Also
considered are contemporary environmental trends and a global evaluation of the
state of biodiversity with respect to its effect on food production and
agriculture.
The objectivity and informativeness of materials were taken into account in preparing these digests. Authors include renowned Russian and foreign research companies, research institutions, and development institutions, such as: Infosys, Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations, UN Environment, UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), InfraONE, Ministry for Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic, Russian International Affairs Council, Institute of Far Eastern Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences (IFES RAS), Fudan University, EY, ACRA, and RAEX.

Bahrain Joins Framework Declaration on Conservation of Gyrfalcons
The Kingdom of Bahrain has become the seventh country to join the Declaration of Intent for the Conservation of the Gyrfalcon Population. The document was adopted by Russia, China, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, and the UAE as part the Falcon Day International Forum, which was first held in Vladivostok during the 8th Eastern Economic Forum. The event was managed by the Roscongress Foundation.

Moscow discussed promoting the potential of the Republic of Kalmykia for its development
A meeting between Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, and Batu Khasikov, Head of the Republic of Kalmykia, was held in Moscow to discuss the implementation of a number of key projects and programmes designed to create a long-term basis for the structural development of the economy of the Republic of Kalmykia and the Caspian region.
