Primorsky Territory Governor Vladimir Miklushevsky has hosted a meeting of the Eastern Economic Forum 2016 organising division. The conceptual outline for the event, the cultural programme and issues relating to tourist activity were discussed, reports the Far Eastern Capital portal.
At the meeting, Sergey Pavlenko, Director of the Primorsky Territory Department of Economics and Business Development, announced that a roadmap for EEF 2016 has been drawn up jointly with the Roscongress Foundation, the Forum’s organiser, and with cooperation agreements made between all relevant executive bodies responsible for infrastructural support before and during EEF, including in housing and utilities, power, communications and medical services. He added that the selection process for investment projects in Primorsky Territory to be presented at the Forum would be carried out separately, as the entry requirements are stricter for this year’s Forum.
The main cultural programme venues are "the Primorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre, the Primorsky Regional Philharmonic, the Fetisov Arena concert and sports venue, and the Primorsky Aquarium," according to Anna Aleko, Director of the Primorsky Regional Philharmonic.
An exhibition of the region's accomplishments, called 'Peoples of the Far East Street', will be held on the embankment at the Far Eastern Federal University.
“In addition to the nine federal subjects of the Far Eastern Federal District, the Republic of Crimea is also set to be included in the exhibition as part of the ‘Crimea in the Russian Far East' project, and the participation of China, Japan and South Korea is also being considered,” Aleko said.
The proposed title for the Primorsky Territory exhibition is 'From Porto Franco to Porto Franco', with the presentation set to cover historical and socioeconomic aspects of the region. As part of the exhibition, the Director of the Philharmonic announced that an interactive display on international transport corridors will be set up, where "by pressing different buttons, visitors will be able to lay out routes for the Primorye-1 and Primorye-2 transport corridors on a map of the Territory, tracking the movement of goods.”
Primorsky Territory's appeal as a centre of tourism will be highlighted during presentations about the Primorsky Aquarium, the Primorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre, the casino industry and a whole range of ecotourism projects. Another exciting element of the programme that has been proposed is a fish market and food court on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal University, the main venue of the EEF.
While the Forum's business programme will run from 2 to 3 September, the cultural programme will run until 4 September. The programme of events will begin each morning at 07:00 and finish close to midnight.

Bahrain Joins Framework Declaration on Conservation of Gyrfalcons
The Kingdom of Bahrain has become the seventh country to join the Declaration of Intent for the Conservation of the Gyrfalcon Population. The document was adopted by Russia, China, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, and the UAE as part the Falcon Day International Forum, which was first held in Vladivostok during the 8th Eastern Economic Forum. The event was managed by the Roscongress Foundation.

Russia and Bahrain Look to Intensify Cultural and Humanitarian Cooperation
Advisor to the Russian President Anton Kobyakov held a meeting in Moscow with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Russian Federation Ahmed Al-Saati, during which the two officials discussed a wide range of issues concerning economic, cultural, and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries and reached a number of agreements.
