NEW INVESTMENT PROJECTS SET TO BRING IN MORE THAN RUB 30 BILLION TO PRIMORYE

The Regional Investment Agency has announced the interim results for the first half of 2016, the Primorsky Territory official website reports.

In six months, the Agency has accepted 28 new applications for project support from Russian and international businesses. The new projects include an aquaculture enterprise in Luchegorsk, the development of crop farming in Khankaysky district, a clothing factory in the Nadezhdinskaya advanced special economic zone (ASEZ), and an upholstery factory.

“Applications received by the Agency are usually focused on obtaining additional investment, a land plot, and advice on matters of investment, legislation and marketing. In recent years, an increasing number of investors have been seeking assistance in acquiring resident status for the Free Port and ASEZs”, said Deputy Director of the Agency Elena Yaskevich.

One of the key objectives of the Agency is to develop public–private partnerships.

“Protocols for the redevelopment of the heating supply system in Fokino were signed after a meeting with a Chinese energy engineering company. We have now established a working group to implement the project and prepared a work schedule”, said Elena Yaskevich.

The Agency continues to receive new public–private partnership projects. These include the reconstruction of a stadium and sports and recreation complex in Vladivostok, and the creation of a sports tourism cluster in Arsenyev.
