MINISTER OF TRANSPORT OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION PROPOSES THAT HYPERLOOP CREATE A TEST SITE IN THE FAR EAST

Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Maxim Sokolov has proposed that Hyperloop consider the Far East as a site for testing new types of transport. He announced this on the NTV TV channel.

According to the Minister, the department had suggested that the management and investors of Hyperloop build a test site within the Primorye-2 corridor with an exit across the border with the PRC to the port of Zarubino. “This is a 70 Km stretch. And they agreed that, by the Eastern Economic Forum, we will produce a feasibility study for this project,” Maxim Sokolov announced.

Hyperloop is a new form of super-fast transport developed by billionaire Elon Musk. The project is currently a vacuum train developing the maximum speed of ground transport.
