Friends for Leadership, an international
community of opinion leaders and entrepreneurs will present joint initiatives
and projects in the area of sustainable development at the 7th Eastern
Economic Forum, which will take place on 5–8 September in Vladivostok.
Community members from 15 countries will participate in business and youth
programme sessions at the EEF 2022 and meet with potential investors and
partners from the ranks of Russian and foreign leaders in business and finance.
“We are pleased to invite conscientious young
people from different countries, including BRICS, SCO, CIS, ASEAN, APEC,
African and Latin American countries, to participate in the Eastern Economic
Forum. New knowledge, contacts, friendships and partnerships gained at
Roscongress events will help young people become future world leaders and complete
their projects to change the world for the better in the context of
implementing the 2030 UN Sustainable Development Goals,” said Anton Kobyakov,
Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation and Executive Secretary of
the Eastern Economic Forum Organizing Committee.
The Forum will present projects and
initiatives of the participants on such topics as sustainable development and
energy, climate change and environmental protection, post-crisis recovery, as
well as innovations in education, science, and technology. The projects are
already in the implementation stage and have the potential to be scaled in
Russia.
Friends for Leadership is a permanent
international pool of foreign youth involved in the promotion of multilateral
economic and humanitarian projects. The community was developed in 2018 through
the joint efforts of the Centre for International Promotion of National
Initiatives Foundation and the Roscongress Foundation at SPIEF. It now brings
together project teams from more than 100 countries working to scale their
solutions in 23 project groups, including the 17 UN Sustainable Development
Goals through 2030.
Over 100 leaders and entrepreneurs
from India, China, Japan, Bangladesh, USA, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia,
Belarus, Serbia, Nepal, Indonesia, Pakistan, Republic of Korea, Uruguay,
Switzerland, Nigeria, Peru, Chile, Philippines, Croatia, Italy, Kazakhstan and
Russia participated in EEF events in 2018–2021.
