The respective applications have been considered at the 4th Supervisory Board of the Free Port of Vladivostok chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of Russia and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yury Trutnev, Primorskaya Gazeta wrote today.
The Free Port of Vladivostok remains true to its objective of attracting as many residents as possible, Yury Trutnev stated opening the Supervisory Board meeting. “We have begun proactive efforts in line with the free port initiative. At this point, we have received 80 applications, with 35 residents approved, meaning that the process is underway. In my opinion, there is always room for improvement, and there can be more residents of the Free Port of Vladivostok. We have to continue what we started, following up closely the submission of applications and making sure the doors remain open to the free port. There must be as few administrative barriers hampering the development of business and economy as possible,” the presidential envoy said.
So far, companies granted the resident status and a permission to conduct business in the Free Port of Vladivostok will engage in gold mining, oil waste collection, transportation and processing, and diaper production. Another company is planning to build an independent film studio in the capital of the Primorsky Territory. As part of yet another approved investment project, several landing fields will be built in the Lazurnaya Bay (Shamora) to propel the development of air service in the region.
The total investment volume secured by new residents is estimated at over RUB 14 billion, the projects creating a rough total of 1,700 jobs.

Great Bustard Exploring Kalmykia’s Steppe
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, VNII Ecologia, the Government of the Republic of Kalmykia, the Roscongress Foundation and Kamchatka Falcon Centre, with the participation of experts and foundations from the Gulf countries, continue to work on the implementation of the order of the President of the Russian Federation and the comprehensive action plan for the establishment of Russian centres for the reintroduction and conservation of falconiform birds in Kamchatka Territory and bustards in the Republic of Kalmykia.

2nd Falcon Day International Forum Dates Announced
The Organizing Committee of the 2nd Falcon Day International Forum met in Moscow under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Viktoria Abramchenko. The meeting was attended by representatives of the federal executive authorities and regional heads of the Russian Federation.
