ALMOST 500 APPLICATIONS RECEIVED FOR FAR EASTERN LAND PLOTS

Some 468 applications for the so called ‘Far Eastern hectare’ – a land plot promised in a recently enacted law – have been received so far from the residents of the Primorsky Territory via the federal information system, the region’s Governor Vladimir Miklushevsky was quoted by the official website of the Primorsky Territory as saying after a meeting reviewing the compliance with the law in the region chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of Russia and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yury Trutnev.

According to the region’s Governor Vladimir Miklushevsky, 468 requests is a good result a mere two weeks since the law took effect.

In turn, Yury Trutnev observed that the law has been exposed to have a few irregularities that need to be removed. Specifically, he cited defects of the electronic application processing system. “The Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography will rectify the defects within two days. The mechanisms are fairly difficult to implement while the system is not actually in operation. We need to modify parts of the service and fine tune the system by October,” the official said.

In general, the Governor promised that the law’s irregularities will be handled. “The challenges we are facing now are certainly solvable, and we are working to achieve that. Today, we had a very professional discussion with people in the know. The meeting brought together representatives of six authorized agencies, and the nature of their dialogue revealed that they know ways to resolve the issues at hand,” Vladimir Miklushevsky said.
