At a meeting between the the Office of the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation and the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East, the Far East Development Minister Alexander Galushka announced that the region will see the creation of three new Advanced Special Economic Zones in the near future, the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East reports on its website.
The creation of three new Advanced Special Economic Zones will be discussed at a meeting of the government’s subcommittee for the implementation of investment projects in the Far East on 30 June. The ASEZs will be named Amuro-Khinganskaya, Kurily and Svobodnenskaya.
“Together, this legislature will ensure an inflow of RUB 190 billion of investments into the Far East,” Galushka said. To date, investments totalling RUB 1.18 billion have been brought into the Far East. “These figures are driven by newly developed mechanisms, institutions and development projects in the macro-region.”
The head of the ministry stressed that the flow of investments to the region has not yet peaked. “We have no plans to stop our work. Mechanisms and development institutions already in operation are being continually streamlined. New investments to the Russian Far East will be secured,” said the Russian Far East Development Minister.
The sub-committee meeting on 30 June will also see the discussion of potential state infrastructural support for six large-scale investment projects, and the involvement of the Far East Investment Fund in two new investment projects.

Great Bustard Exploring Kalmykia’s Steppe
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, VNII Ecologia, the Government of the Republic of Kalmykia, the Roscongress Foundation and Kamchatka Falcon Centre, with the participation of experts and foundations from the Gulf countries, continue to work on the implementation of the order of the President of the Russian Federation and the comprehensive action plan for the establishment of Russian centres for the reintroduction and conservation of falconiform birds in Kamchatka Territory and bustards in the Republic of Kalmykia.

2nd Falcon Day International Forum Dates Announced
The Organizing Committee of the 2nd Falcon Day International Forum met in Moscow under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Viktoria Abramchenko. The meeting was attended by representatives of the federal executive authorities and regional heads of the Russian Federation.
