      Far Eastern Corporate Games

      The sporting arenas of Vladivostok will host an entertaining contest between teams representing the region’s leading companies and local government agencies. The games will feature nine different disciplines, including futsal, basketball, and chess. The main goals of the event are to promote sport and a healthy lifestyle, establish new business contacts and friendly ties, and facilitate team building. From this year on, the Far Eastern Corporate Games will be included in the Russian Ministry of Sport’s Unified Calendar, and in the Primorsky Territory calendar of official fitness and sporting events.

      Gala hockey match between Team EEF and Team Primorsky Territory Administration

      Gala hockey matches have become somewhat of a sporting tradition at our economic forums. Teams of political and business elites will take to the ice in Vladivostok. All participants will receive commemorative medals, but the main reward will be the boost to participants’ moods and energy levels in advance of the Forum’s business programme.

      Charity run in aid of the Siberian tiger and Amur leopard

      The run offers an excellent opportunity to give yourself an energy boost for the Eastern Economic Forum business programme. The route weaves its way around Russky Island, which for over a century was a bastion protecting Russia against invaders in her Far East. But the main goal of this run is to protect two symbols of Russia from the natural world – the Siberian tiger and the Amur leopard.

      Roscongress Foundation Cup sailing regatta

      Throughout the Forum, EEF participants will be able to witness an engaging competition between 14 Platu 25-class yachts in Ajax Bay. An awards ceremony for the regatta’s victors and prizewinners will be held at the Far East Street exhibition.

      Annual International Vladivostok Jigoro Kano Junior Judo Tournament (under 21s)

      This tournament is being held under the auspices of President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister of Japan Shinzō Abe. Russian, Japanese and Mongolian teams will participate in the opening matches. The prestigious new tournament has been included in the International Judo Federation’s calendar, and will help to strengthen the sporting and cultural exchange between the countries. Additional training and refereeing seminars will take place on the sidelines of the tournament, together with a master class for Primorsky Territory’s young judokas given by 2012 Olympic champion Tagir Khaybulaev.

      International mas-wrestling tournament for the Kolmar Cup

      The International Mas-Wrestling Federation, in cooperation with Kolmar Management Company, is hosting the International Mas-Wrestling Tournament for the Kolmar Cup in Vladivostok.
      This prestigious tournament will feature the best athletes from Australia, Canada, Mongolia, New Zealand, Russia, the United States, Sri Lanka, and Japan. The Russian Federation will be represented by athletes from the Far Eastern Federal District – the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) as well as the Primorsky and Khabarovsk Territories.
      Mas-wrestling is a Russian type of martial art that originated in Yakutia and is gaining increasing popularity around the world with federations now created in 43 countries. This democratic and spectacular sport, which is rapidly developing today, has great prospects to join the international Olympic movement.
