The sports programme of the Eastern Economic Forum, held under the Vladivostok Open brand, is continuing across the city.
Russian athlete Viktor Fillipov set a record for pull-ups at EEF 2022, completing 78 in one minute at the ‘Arena GTO’ pavilion
of the Ministry of Sport of the Russian

Minister of the Russian Federation watched the record attempt. “This world record was broken on equipment made in Russia, and equipment like this is being supplied to sports grounds across the country. We can see the positive impact of government measures to support the industry, and now our industry must meet the new challenges head on,” said Dmitry
Chernyshenko. The pavilion also hosted the debut of the Far East
Cup GTO Games, which was won by the team from Sakhalin Region.
A VIP rowing simulator race was held in the
Far East Street with the participation of Oleg Matytsin, Minister of Sport, Pavel Volkov, State Secretary – Deputy Minister for the Development of the Russian Far East and the Arctic, Dmitry Guberniev, TV presenter, Georgy Bryusov, Director of the Centre for Athletic Training of Russian National Teams, and Alexey Svirin, Olympic champion and President of the Rowing Federation. The competition was won by Tokyo 2020 medallist Anna Prakaten, and Alexander
Vyazovkin. Rowing teams from Russia, China, Belarus and Uzbekistan will also compete in an international regatta that will be held in Novik Bay with the support of Norilsk Nickel.
Renowned chess grandmaster Sergey Karyakin held a simultaneous chess
match for EEF 2022 guests and met with chess
enthusiasts from Primorye Territory. “Vladivostok needs its own chess club where players can meet regularly. The city is uniquely located – it is easy to get to from China, India, and South Korea, and it
could be a base for developing the game at the international level,” said Sergey Karyakin at the session entitled Sports in the Far East:

Ponkratov won the EEF 2022 Chess Cup, which featured grandmasters from 10 countries including Korea, India and Iran, defeating Farrukh Amonatov from Tajikistan in the final.
The annual platu-25 class sailing regatta for the EEF 2022 Cup once again graced the waters of Amur Bay. 11 teams competed on yachts named
after popular bands. Nikita Stralsky’s crew came out the winners on the Brigada S yacht. Second place went
to Vladimir Ermakov's crew on Alisa, with Valery Dichenko on Depeche Mode taking third place. Igor Pavlov, Director of the Eastern Economic Forum hosted the awards ceremony
held in Vladivostok’s central square.
The CS:GO Cyber Tour U18 was the first
international cybersport tournament to be held in Primorye Territory. In the final, the Kazakhstan team came out on top
against the Russians. Mikhail “DOSIA” Stolyarov, one of the top Russian CS:GO players gave a workshop for young talent from Vladivostok, and also played in a showmatch along with the Cyber Tour U18 team coaches.
The first Far Eastern Federal District skateboarding
championship in the Olympic street discipline is also underway. The competition is
being held in a brand new skate park
opened during the Forum.
The sports and entertainment program of the 7th Eastern Economic Forum is being held under the brand name Vladivostok Open and includes 12 sports. Vladivostok Open is operated by RC-Sport, the sports platform of the Roscongress Foundation.
