Vladimir Putin to Attend Plenary Session at Eastern Economic Forum 2021

Russian President Vladimir Putin will personally attend the plenary session of the 6th Eastern Economic Forum, which will be held on 3 September in a mixed format, the president’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov said.

“Also, since the Forum itself includes a fairly large number of panel discussions and sessions, the overall feasibility of holding a meeting with the moderators and speakers of the EEF sessions is being considered so that they can tell the president about how they have been working and what they have actually done at the Forum. This will take place on 3 September on the final day before the plenary session so that the president can get a complete picture of the issues being discussed at the Forum before he attends the plenary session,” Peskov said.

Putin will also attend a number of events at the EEF 2021, where he will discuss the socioeconomic development of the regions of the Far Eastern Federal District.

“There are many results, indeed, as the region develops more and more systematically: the successful practices of the advanced special economic zones and other development tools. This will also be reported to the President once again,” he said.
