At the 8th Eastern Economic Forum, the Innosocium
Foundation, the social platform of the Roscongress Foundation will hold the
Creative Business Forum, sessions as part of the business programme, and events
in the ‘Soul of Russia. The North’ pavilion at the ‘Far East Street’
exhibition, aimed at consolidating measures to preserve the cultural heritage
of small nations. EEF 2023 is organized by the Roscongress Foundation.
“The programme of the Roscongress Foundation’s social
platform effectively contributes to the formation of important initiatives to
preserve the cultural heritage of indigenous peoples of Russia. Based on the
successful growth of the creative industries sector in the Arctic region, we
can see that the reliance on traditional cultural and historical values and
rich creative heritage as a basis for development is a solid foundation for
promoting all areas of creative entrepreneurship and ensures the growth of
human capital in the region,” said Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of
the Russian Federation and Executive Secretary of the EEF Organizing Committee.
The ‘Soul of Russia. The North’ pavilion at the ‘Far
East Street’ exhibition will demonstrate a film about the festival ‘Soul of
Russia. The North’, which was previously held as part of Russia’s chairmanship
in the Arctic Council in 2021–2023. The pavilion, which will host events
reflecting contemporary interpretation of the cultural heritage of the
indigenous peoples of the Arctic region, was named in honour of the festival. This
platform will also present multimedia projects of the Roscongress Foundation’s
social platform, the Innosocium Foundation, including an interactive map of the
cultural historical heritage of the indigenous peoples of the North and a
multimedia exhibition of indigenous art.
The fruitful cooperation between the Roscongress
Foundation’s social platform and the Presidential Grants Fund will continue.
The discussion panel ‘Non-profit organizations at EEF: Results and Prospects’
will feature the heads of leading non-profit organizations successfully
implementing social projects with the use of grants from the President of the
Russian Federation. They will discuss networking practices at the Forum events
and their impact on the dynamics of social project development, as well as work
out proposals on formats and mechanisms for participation of social project
leaders in partnership programmes of the Presidential Grants Foundation and the
Innosocium Foundation.
The theme of the cultural heritage of the indigenous
peoples of the North will be developed in the programme of the 7th Creative
Business Forum and sessions of the EEF business programme, which will include
sessions “The Role and Potential of Civil Society in the Development of the Far
East’ and ‘Towards a Common Future: What Social and Cultural Initiatives
Business Can Offer the Far East?’ The Creative Business Forum (on 10 September
at EEF) will take place under the slogan ‘Cultural Codes of the Economy.
Discovering Identity through Collaboration’. It will bring offer over ten
sessions dedicated to the development of competitiveness based on culture and
heritage, the use of human capital, and rethinking urbanism through creativity.
The programme will pay special attention to film production. The Innosocium Foundation is dedicated to supporting young talents: to this end, the Spirit of Fire Academy educational programme is scheduled to take place during the Creative Business Forum. It is planned to hold lectures with famous filmmakers on the topics of ‘New Cinema of Siberia and the Far East’, ‘Ethnic cinema: Secrets of Success’, ‘Laboratory of Film Suspense: How to Keep the Audience’s Attention’ and pitching of film projects that will demonstrate the active development of the regional film industry. The presentation will include the best docufiction and feature film projects linked by common motives of penetrating into the philosophy of unity with nature, the beauty of folk culture, traditions of the North and their new interpretation. The session ‘Creative Potential of Siberia and the Far East: Opportunities for Film Production’ will be devoted to film start-ups initiated by entrepreneurs from Siberia and the Far East and production solutions to help regional film companies create new films.

10–13 September 2023 in Vladivostok on the campus of the Far Eastern Federal
University.
