The Roscongress Foundation has released the official magazine of the
Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), which will take place on 3–6 September 2024 in
Vladivostok. Russian and English versions of the magazine will be distributed
at the event venue, on Aeroflot flights between Moscow and Vladivostok, and
based on a mailing list. The electronic version is available on the Forum website. The Roscongress Foundation is organizing the EEF.
The main theme of the magazine reflects the Forum motto: ‘Far East 2030.
Combining Strengths to Create New Potential’. It focuses on ten priorities for
the development of the Far Eastern Federal District until 2030, features an
interview with Minister for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic
Alexey Chekunkov, and provides details about support measures for residents of
the region.
Readers will also learn about the prospects for using small nuclear power
plants in Russia and other countries. It will also address the theme of
advanced technologies in material about the venture ecosystem of the Far East,
which has been making significant progress in recent years. In particular, the
Russky Innovative Scientific and Technological Centre is being set up at Fear
Eastern Federal University (FEFU), which annually hosts the EEF.
The magazine also covers another significant project for the Primorye
region: the implementation of the Vladivostok master plan. An article describes
how the city’s appearance and the quality of life of its citizens will change
over the next five years.
The publication also contains a lot of practical useful information for
Forum participants, including the business, cultural, and sports and
entertainment programmes, a navigator for the event venue, and a description of
key exhibits, including the ‘Welcome to the Far East!’ exhibition organized by
the federal executive authorities and the Far East Street exhibition.
The EEF is not only a major business event, but also a great opportunity
to learn more about the amazing Primorsky Territory. The magazine has stories
about a number of original attractions and travel destinations, such as the top
five places to see a beautiful sunrise, unique natural parks, protected bays,
glamping sites, and routes for SUP boarders. It also has a special section
about the seafood-based cuisine of the Far East.
You can also get a sense of the uniqueness of the Russian Far East by
reading articles about the amazing Itelmen tribe and the preservation of the
Kamchatka gyrfalcon population, which is timed to coincide with the second
Falcon Day International Forum on 3 September, the opening day of the EEF.
