Russian President to Hold Full-Fledged Talks with PRC President Xi Jinping at EEF 2018

A meeting between Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, the Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee of the Eastern Economic Forum, and Li Hui, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Russian Federation was held in Moscow.

The main focus of the meeting was on the participation of the official delegation of the People's Republic of China led by the Chairman of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping in the 4th Eastern Economic Forum, which will be held in Vladivostok on 11—13 September. The meeting also discussed the organization of the event with the participation of the heads of Russian regions and governors of Chinese provinces such as Heilongjiang, Guangdong, Sichuan, Shandong, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Jilin, Liaoning and Inner Mongolia.

Around 600 representatives of the PRC will take part in the Forum, including province governors, officials, heads of state corporations and representatives of the business community. The PRC delegation to the EEF 2018 will be the most representative and numerous.

"I have no doubt that the visit of the President of the People’s Republic of China to Vladivostok will become an important milestone in developing relations between Russia and China. We, in turn, will do everything in our power to ensure the fruitful and effective participation of the Chinese delegation in the EEF 2018," emphasized Anton Kobyakov, summing up the results of the meeting.

As Dmitry Peskov, Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, reported earlier, it will be a "full-fledged visit with a very rich, extensive — both by its content and by the set of events — programme".
