At the meeting of the Far Eastern Federal District Council
held under the leadership of Yury Trutnev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian
Federation and Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian
Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District (FEFD), the Far Eastern regions
that presented the best expositions at the Far East Street exhibition in
September this year were announced.
"The Eastern Economic Forum was a success: a record
number of agreements signed in terms of investment, and the participation of
more than 7,000 people from 75 countries. I would like to thank all the
governors for their work in preparing the Forum and the Far East Street
exhibition. This year, in addition to jury voting, online vote counting was
also launched. Let's start with the Best Cultural Programme. The winners were
recognized as the events of the Republic of Buryatia and the Sakha Republic
(Yakutia). The pavilions of the Sakhalin Region and the Zabaikalsky Krai became
the most high-tech pavilions. And finally, the pavilion of the Primorsky
Territory was recognized as the "Best Pavilion", as well as the
winner of the online voting. Far East
Street showed guests the main achievements of the regions. The expositions help
EEF participants and guests learn more about the Far East, understand how the
macro-region is developing, and get impressions that can then turn into
interest, visits and investments,"
said Yury Trutnev.
During EEF 2024, 11 regions of the Far East presented their
main technological achievements, investment potential, key projects in various
areas, and cultural features on the waterfront of Ajax Bay. In particular,
guests learnt about the development of cross-border agglomerations, tourist
destinations, master plans for Far Eastern cities, the work of industrial
enterprises, and much more.
As part of the Far East Street opening, a flash mob entitled
"Time to Live in the Far East" took place on the main stage. To the
song "Far East", the words of which were written by poet Ilya Reznik,
its participants brought the flags of the regions of the Far Eastern Federal
District onto the stage and unfurled the large Russian flag.
The Far East Street exhibition is traditionally held as
part of the Eastern Economic Forum with the participation of all Far Eastern
regions. The exhibition is organized by the Roscongress Foundation with the
support of the Office of the Presidential Envoy in the Far Eastern Federal
District.
