The three Far Eastern regions that presented the best expositions at the ‘Far East Street’ exhibition in September 2021 were announced at a meeting of the Council of the Far Eastern Federal District chaired by Russian Deputy Prime Minister and Plenipotentiary of the Russian President in the Far Eastern Federal District Yury Trutnev.
“The regions’ expositions at the ‘Far East Street’ exhibition should show the participants and guests of the Eastern Economic Forum why we love the Far Eastern land, what benefits the regions offer, and the areas for which we are expecting investments. With each new Forum, I feel that we are getting closer and closer to this goal. The expositions have become targeted, understandable, and interesting for people,” Trutnev said.
A panel of judges awarded first place to the Khabarovsk Territory’s exposition.
The panel noted the sophisticated content and design of the exposition. The region chose the name ‘The Future Today’ for its pavilion. The exposition was designed in the form of a microcircuit with the objects on its territory connected by light lines. Living walls around the main module symbolized the connection between human activities and nature. The pavilion resembled an eco-park of the future, in which modern technologies blend into the local landscape. The region’s latest hi-tech developments were presented inside the pavilion. The exposition paid special attention to social programmes. Visitors were able to learn more details about measures being taken to support the population and see their results through the stories of specific people working in different professions and social groups. The pavilion’s guests were particularly interested in the Sport zone, where they could play field hockey.
The Transbaikal Territory took second place with an exposition titled ‘Transbaikalia – Strength in People’. The region’s pavilion was split into three areas: a welcome area; culture, tourism, and natural heritage; and investment potential. The welcome area presented a time capsule where people could take a picture against the background of Transbaikal landscapes and points of interest. In the culture, tourism, and natural heritage zone, visitors viewed installations informing them about the most interesting places in the region as well as infographics about national parks and attractions. The guests were also given a video tour of the region. The ‘Kartoteka’ installation was located in the investment potential zone and showed visitors presentations about investment projects that are being implemented in the region.
The panel awarded third place to the Jewish Autonomous Region.
The Jewish Autonomous Region’s exposition centred around investment projects in the region. Visitors were given a chance to learn about the creation of a biomedical cluster, hi-tech processing enterprises, the first railway bridge between Russia and China, Nizhneleninskoye–Tongjiang, and other projects. Examples of tourism opportunities in the region were displayed with the projects of the Kuldur sanatorium and resort complex, the 100th anniversary of the Volochaevskaya Sopka museum, and the Jewish Township.
Trutnev presented prizes and certificates of honour to the governors of the winning regions.
All the Far Eastern regions traditionally take part in the ‘Far East Street’ exhibition, which is held during the Eastern Economic Forum.

Russia and Bahrain Look to Intensify Cultural and Humanitarian Cooperation
Advisor to the Russian President Anton Kobyakov held a meeting in Moscow with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Russian Federation Ahmed Al-Saati, during which the two officials discussed a wide range of issues concerning economic, cultural, and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries and reached a number of agreements.

Moscow discussed promoting the potential of the Republic of Kalmykia for its development
A meeting between Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, and Batu Khasikov, Head of the Republic of Kalmykia, was held in Moscow to discuss the implementation of a number of key projects and programmes designed to create a long-term basis for the structural development of the economy of the Republic of Kalmykia and the Caspian region.

2nd Falcon Day International Forum Dates Announced
The Organizing Committee of the 2nd Falcon Day International Forum met in Moscow under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Viktoria Abramchenko. The meeting was attended by representatives of the federal executive authorities and regional heads of the Russian Federation.
