The
NNK Group of Companies has been granted the official status of the fuel partner
of the Eastern Economic Forum. The Group with its NNK chain of petrol stations,
the Khabarovsk Oil Refinery which, following major renovations, can rightfully
be called one of the most high-tech enterprises in the Russian oil refining
industry, as well as an extensive network of oil depots and large offshore terminals.
The
NNK filling station chain, with its bright sun logo, consists of roughly 300
petrol stations that provide motorists in the Russian Far East with
high-quality oil products, including in remote and sparsely populated areas of
the Far Eastern Federal District. NNK gets its petrol from the Khabarovsk Oil
Refinery, which enables the company to monitor its quality over the entire
route: some 80 laboratory tests are carried out to check the quality of petrol
as it travels from the refinery to people’s fuel tanks. This is a
rather expensive but necessary measure to guarantee the quality of fuel
products.
“It is a great honour
and responsibility for us to become a fuel partner of such a high-profile
international event. This will undoubtedly serve as an additional incentive for
further systematic work to develop the network of our gas stations and improve
the quality of the services we provide”, the NNK Group said in a statement.
The
5th Eastern Economic Forum will take place on Russky Island in Vladivostok on 4–6 September 2019. The
main themes of the Forum will be economic and social growth in the Far East as
well as issues concerning improvements in the quality of life in the
macro-region. In addition, the programme will include intercountry business
dialogues with India, China, Japan, South Korea, and the Association of
Southeast Asian Nations. Russian President Vladimir Putin, Japanese Prime
Minister Shinzo Abe, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Malaysian Prime
Minister Mahathir Mohamad, and Mongolian President Khaltmaagiin Battulga have
all announced they will take part in the Forum.
The
NNK Group of Companies is a vertically integrated holding with enterprises in
eight regions of the Russian Federation. Its primary operations involve
searching for, exploring, and developing oil and gas fields, oil refining as
well as the production and marketing of petroleum products, including through
its own network of petrol stations in the Far Eastern Federal District. Since
being established in 2013, the Group has managed to strengthen its position on
the country’s oil
and gas market and today it is among Russia’s top ten companies in
terms of oil reserves.
