Adviser to the President of Russian Federation Anton Kobyakov met in Moscow with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to the Russian Federation Vinay Kumar. The parties discussed further development of a full-scale partnership and cooperation in various spheres, as well as interaction within the framework of major business events held in Russia.
“Over the past decades, the traditionally friendly Russian-Indian relations have been growing and have reached the level of a special strategic partnership. Cooperation is developing on a wide range of topics: Moscow and New Delhi interact on an equal footing in trade, energy, science, investment, tourism and environmental protection areas. It is important that cooperation between the two countries within the framework of integration associations is also strengthening, which is of particular importance for the formation of a sovereign multipolar world,” said Anton Kobyakov.
For his part, the Ambassador of India to Russia noted the comprehensive approach to the development of relations both in the bilateral format and within the BRICS framework, with particular emphasis on the work actively carried out to promote interbank cooperation through the central banks of our countries.
The two sides discussed the participation of the Indian delegation in the BRICS Summit in Kazan, the BRICS Business Forum in Moscow, as well as expansion of cooperation at leading business platforms, including the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), Russian Energy Week (REW) and Let’s Travel! Tourism Forum.
Anton Kobyakov and Vinay Kumar separately discussed the participation of the Indian side in the business programme of the EEF, which will be held in Vladivostok on 3–6 September.

It is planned to hold a Russia–India business dialogue with the participation of entrepreneurs from the two countries. In addition, we will consider the possibility of creating a permanent national pavilion of India at the SPIEF venue,” noted Vinay Kumar.
The parties also emphasized the importance of further strengthening partnership in the conservation sphere, where successful experience of cooperation has been accumulated within the framework of the International Tiger Forum. The parties noted that cooperation could be continued within the framework of the 2nd Falcon Day International Forum, which will be held on the starting day of the EEF 2024.
