On 8 September 2022, the Youth Eastern Economic Forum (Youth EEF)will be held for the second time on campus of the Far Eastern FederalUniversity (FEFU) as part of the business programme of the 7th EasternEconomic Forum. The event is co-organized by the Roscongress Foundation and theFederal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh).
Primorye Territory is an important region for the development of the
Russian Federation. The countries of South and Southeast Asia, which are in
close proximity to the Far East and have traditional economic and cultural
relations with Russia, have become particularly important strategic partners in
the current circumstances, particularly for educational exchange and the creation
of joint youth cooperation projects. In 2022, Youth EEF will take place during
a significant reassessment of values in matters of state thinking and education
for young people and everyone who dreams of becoming a professional.
“Now it is extremely important to involve young professionals,
scientists, and businessmen in the development of the Far Eastern and the
Russian economy as a whole. Young people are the engine of sustainable
development in the modern community. Young people are not afraid to experiment
in business, they are eager to try new things and propose innovative solutions,
but fundamental knowledge and creative ideas need the support of business and
the state. The platform of the Youth Eastern Economic Forum for the second time
becomes a launchpad for programmes to support talented youth in science and
technology, new startups and business ideas. The Forum provides a stable
foundation for economic growth, the establishment of technological sovereignty,
as well as scientific and technological development of Russia in the current
constraints,” said Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the President of the Russian
Federation, Executive Secretary of the EEF 2022 Organizing Committee.
The Youth EEF will unite young businessmen, scientists, unique professionals,
representatives of business and institutional associations to discuss topical
issues of youth entrepreneurship support and technological developments. Another
important issue on the discussion agenda of the Forum is the identification of non-economic
measures of support for young people to unlock their potential.
“It has already become a good tradition to have youth presence at
such forums. This year the EEF is distinguished not only by a youth day for
entrepreneurs, but also by an extensive agenda for young environmentalists and
eco-activists. It is preceded by a flagship youth forum in the field of
sustainable development for young people entitled ‘Ecosystem. Reserve Territory’
which will take place in the Kamchatka and will be completed by 5 September, the
opening day of the Eastern Economic Forum. Works-in-progress and finished
projects by Ecosystem participants will be integrated into the agenda of the
big Forum. Environmentalism has definitely become a trend, and we intend to
continue developing this direction,” said the head of the Federal Agency for
Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh) Ksenia Razuvaeva.
The official business programme of the Youth Eastern Economic Forum includes sessions devoted to topical issues: youth entrepreneurship and its role in the economic growth of the country, the prospects for employment of young professionals in the development and support of self-employment, opportunities and limitations of the Russian startups in Asian markets and cross-cultural issues of such cooperation, mentoring for young businessmen and talent cultivation at all levels.
