Vladivostok International Airport Ready for EEF Participants

Vladivostok International Airport reports its readiness for guests and participants of the 5th Eastern Economic Forum (EEF). With the support of the Roscongress Foundation, the air harbour of Primorye has been preparing to welcome the Forum delegates with accreditation points and a group of volunteers.

For the fifth time, Vladivostok Airport is the gateway to a high-profile business event of the Far East, the Eastern Economic Forum, which runs from 4 to 6 September in Vladivostok. This year, the new official mascot of the airport welcomes the guests and participants of the Forum the Far Eastern leopard Khors. The bronze figure is located at the terminal square.

To provide high-quality services to guests and participants of the EEF, the Primorye airport conducted a comprehensive technological systems readiness check. Airport and technical equipment, as well as airfield infrastructure were tested. All structural divisions are in increased activity mode of operation; additional personnel are called on duty.

Starting 31 August, for the convenience of guests and Forum participants, the Roscongress Foundation placed accreditation points, registration desks and all necessary navigation in the terminal. Volunteers are also there to provide high-quality service to the Forum participants.

This year, the Forum expects to welcome more than six thousand participants from Russia and around the world. To date, more than 70 business flights have been declared for arrival. Delegates from Japan, China, the Republic of Korea, India, Mongolia, Malaysia, and Singapore have confirmed their EEF participation. Notably, all regular flights and passenger services are to follow their daily schedule.

The Eastern Economic Forum has been taking place in Primorye annually since 2015 to attract foreign investments to the Russian Far East and foster economic cooperation in the Asia Pacific. The Far Eastern Federal University campus on Russky Island is the Forum venue.
