Implementation of national projects in Magadan Region
has been chosen to be the main theme of the Region’s pavilion at the ‘Far East Street’ exhibition, that will be held as part of the 5th Eastern Economic Forum.
Magadan Region will present the M-shaped pavilion symbolic of the Region’s logo. It hints on the skyline of mountains – the main landscape of the
area – and a traditional Evenki pattern. The design will be embellished by the
sun made of polished bronze – the symbol of daybreak. The walls of the pavilion
will be made of glass and wood combined with the gold painted façade material. Those will stand for purity,
environment, and the natural wealth of the region.
High-end multimedia technology will be used to display the presentations. The visitors will have a chance to both learn about the history and the present of
Magadan Region, and to see what it is going to look like in 2035. The installation will also provide an account of the unique nature of Kolyma. The guests will see the hills, the Sea of Okhotsk – its waters are home to orcas and rorquals and its
shores are home to bird colonies and seal rookeries; as well as rafting rivers
and numerous lakes rich in fish, rare wildlife and flora. In the pavilion, one can have a picture taken against the background of
the installation presenting
the investment project of Zavyalov Island Tourist Complex, as well as try
drinks and foods made by Kolyma food
manufacturers.
Visitors will learn about an unusual cultural event in
the region – the Gold Festival, where the participants compete in placer mining of gold.
Guests of the pavilion will also have a chance to try their hand in gold mining
and win prize money.
Besides tourist attractions of
Magadan Region, the pavilion will also tell the visitors about investment
opportunities and existing investor support.
The ‘Far East Street’ exhibition will be held on 3–8 September on the embankment along the Ajax Bay. The exhibition will be
open for EEF guests and participants from 3 to 6 September, with 7 September
planned for a social day targeting large families, seniors, veterans, and
representatives of youth organizations; the exhibition will be open to all
comers on 8 September.
