A special stamp featuring a tiger will be
issued for the 2nd International Tiger Forum, which will be held on
5 September 2022 in Vladivostok.
A special stamp redemption ceremony will be
held on 5 September 2022 at
10 a.m. at the central venue of the ‘Far
East Street’ exhibition, which is hosted by the Eastern Economic Forum. The
ceremony is expected to be attended by Konstantin Chuychenko, Minister of Justice
of the Russian Federation, Alexander Kozlov, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment
of the Russian Federation, Maxim Akimov, Chief Executive Officer of Russian
Post, and foreign official delegations from countries which are home to the
tiger.
In addition, a
postmark of the first day will be produced with a fixed date for redemption
only on the day of issue of the stamp.
A stylized
gift set will also be produced for the event, comprising
an envelope of the first day, and a sheet with four stamps and a maximum card,
which is a stylized postcard with a postage stamp and postmark. 200
such sets will be given out to participants and guests of the Forum.
The stamp will draw additional attention to
the environment and the protection of tigers and will help raise awareness
about the work carried out by the international community.
